URSIT offers consulting services in the area of Information and Communication Technologies.
Geographic Information Systems, Spatial Data Infrastructures, E-business and Internet technology are our specific areas of competence. We are experts in the European Directive INSPIRE, the Infrastructure for Spatial Information in Europe.
URSIT believes in Information Technology for a better future and better human life. Information Technology can improve, if properly used, productivity, effectiveness of life and work, communication, human life and relations. The today's Internet offers particular opportunities for a better human life, although we also admit its serious threats.
Information Technology can only be properly used when the basic requirements and conditions for its use are clear and properly defined. Here is URSIT's strength:
- Analysis of requirements and system analysis for the introduction or extension of IT systems;
- Support to the development of proposals for grants and public financing.
Interoperability and open standards are our values and we feature the use of open source software.
URSIT is a member of the Open GeoSpatial Consortium (OGC).
